...since Donna added an "anonymous" student comment to the top of this page, I'll add one of mine from last fall (English 1013):
"She got on her soapbox too much. She preached too much to the class."
We talked about popular culture all semester!?! What was there to be on a soapbox about? We never talked about politics, government, laws, Bush, nothing. Just films, television, and music. What, because I mentioned in class that I disliked country music, I'm "too political"?
