My Mood Today (Friday, 25 July 2008)...
Things are changing here at "Dissertation Deconstruction 101." DD 101's two main contributors (my BFF Rochelle and I), have both taken F/T jobs! I finished and defended my dissertation in April, graduated May 10th with my doctorate, and took a job at Colorado State University a week later. Rochelle is cranking out the pages of her dissertation (even though it's "lazy July!), and she just took a AWESOME job at NCTC in Corinth! Yes, we ROCK. Join us here as we blog about dissertating, new professorships, and juggling busy lives of writing, research, and teaching. --DONNA
About Me...
My name is Donna. I am a thirty-something, married, PhD candidate in Rhetoric. I work three jobs; I love my husband, my dog, my cat, and even my doctoral committee. I have my seven precious neices and nephews, and I juggle 120 new "kids" of my own - every semester. I have too little money and even less time, and I rarely have a "Ph.D. Melt-Down" that Dave, a glass of wine, or a plate of brownies can't fix. I wouldn't change it for the world.
